Tag Yourself!

NeoCon 2017 is over, but our social reach can still live on. Our Tarkett Contract Facebook page has a NeoCon 2017 photo album. Look through it, and tag yourself, clients or friends you see in photos, if they’re OK with being tagged. That will help keep our NeoCon momentum going and help spread the Tarkett Contract page reach to others who may not follow it yet.

The album can be found here.

Social Media Best Practices

Think of social media as an extension of brand marketing and public relations, at least at the high level. It should be engaging and approachable, sparking enough interest that someone would either click on our (or your) feed to see more and — ultimately — click on our website to see more product.

If you have a business social profile, one of the easiest ways to generate content for it is to share our posts. We have monthly content calendars for Tarkett Contract, Tandus Centiva, Johnsonite and Tarkett Home. Simply follow us and share, retweet, or repost our posts for ready-made content on your page. It helps build engagement and reach a broader audience, plus photos are properly sized for you and links are ready to go. And when you post your own content, especially those beautiful installation shots, please tag us in them so we can share yours when appropriate.

Peeking into the future, on the Tandus Centiva side, look for some exclusive social content regarding a few of our Powerbond 50th anniversary stories. For Johnsonite, we’ll have some great new product launches.

Social media can be a great way to stay connected with your customers, which is why we’ve come up with guidelines for creating your own regional account. December 2016

Each month we will be providing updates on what’s new with social media. From our newest launches, to what to look out for in the coming month, to the trends in social media. But first, let’s review the basics.

The Basics:

Social Media has become an integral part of Tarkett’s marketing strategy. With social media, we can reach new and existing customers in real time and through the intimate setting of their own social media platform. Whether its architects, designers, distributors, or media editors that we are trying to connect with, we can do so through the content promoted across our social media channels. The best part about social media is that it provides us a quick way to reach our audience and gives a voice to the Tarkett brands.

Understanding the basic and most popular social media platforms will allow you to identify where the customers that you are trying to reach are active and how you can engage with them. Here are some brief highlights of the most popular social media outlets.

  • Facebook: Facebook.com Facebook is a popular free social networking website that allows registered users to create profiles, upload photos and video, send messages and keep in touch with friends, family and colleagues.
  • Instagram: Instagram.com Download the Instagram app from the app store on your mobile phone or tablet. Instagram is a free online photo sharing and social network platform. Instagram allows members users to upload, edit and share photos with other members through the Instagram app.

Where to Find Us?

Following the Tarkett brands is a must. Not only does it allow you to stay up to date on our latest marketing initiatives, but it is a great way to get content to share with your customers.

What kind of content do we share?

The goal behind our social media channels is to engage our customers while driving awareness of product launches, brand initiatives and events. We share images of product installation shots and interactive links to other videos and web content. One of our most popular series of posts is our #FloorFriday thread. Every Friday, we highlight a different flooring product, tagging it with the hashtag #floorfriday. This is a fun hashtag, where users can see all of our products featured from week to week and find design inspiration.
